The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug in Peter Jackson is an action adventure film that started it continues in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey . Directed with a slow pace, is unnecessarily long, and risky and unwise to stay one step below The Lord of the Rings , not reach their level. Being entertaining, adventurous and entertaining at times, but it feels as the end, what could have been done on tape, have lengthened to 3 to make profits using the pull of the previous saga is approaching.
The photography is spectacular, skillfully blending the dark and the light continues to give the feeling of fantasy that seeks to manage, but it shows excessive computer use for the action scenes, which for me is a negative. And the music is haunting, intense and penetrating, with rhythmic and evocative sounds, as accompaniment to the action, and sometimes even friendly and fun.
The performances are competent but dull or right hook, based more on the fun and humorous in good performances. With Martin Freeman in the lead, in an acting cast that repeated in the case of Ian McKellen , Richard Armitage , James Nesbitt , Aidan Turner, Graham McTavish , Jed Brophy , Stephen Hunter , Ken Stott , John Callen and Cate Blanchett . And this time the appearance of Orlando Bloom , Evangeline Lilly and Lee Pace . All changing rooms and characterization though, alluding awesome and a huge work of art direction not without merit, wrapping correctly each and every one of the different characters by race or function.
The script, however, consider it a fully commercial gum stretched three times to go to the movies instead of one, taking advantage of the great fame of the director and his saga.Adapted from the novel by Tolkien, which like its originality and imagination, but it certainly is something long and therefore tiresome at times, which is only relieved by the real magic of 3D, if you're lucky enough to see it in that format . And he used to, a scholarly and lyrical narrative, which like to be pristine, polite and inviting.
To conclude, it is worth noting the movements and plans of recognition and panoramic rotation and tracking shots already known and used by the principal, clearly marking the different heights of the characters in a work of art. And a surprising and stunning in moments of action that fascinate effects, although for my taste overused computer, giving the impression of artificial and exaggerated film.
So, overall, I consider it better than the last, by the introduction of more adventures and action, and greater involvement of the characters. But not much more to be excessively long, and with an ending that leaves you with honey on the lips as a weekly TV series. Being inappropriate and exploited to create interest in the last tape of a saga, in my opinion indiscriminately commercial for a group of hardcore director, Tolkien, and the fantastic epic novels in general.
